We are participating in a wind power program and using hybrid vehicles. Selvedge waste is recycled and turned into new products and our plastic bags contain post-consumer polyester content. Weave Corporation is also using recycled paper and fabric tags using soy based ink. We have formally adopted the Global Sullivan Principles as our corporate code of conduct. In addition, we have created GreenweaveTM, an environmentally friendly line of fabrics made from organic and recycled yarns.
GreenweaveTM fabrics are made from the best natural fibers including organic cotton, bamboo, linen, and hemp. It is produced with clean water and safe dyes and is 100% biodegradable.
GreenweaveTM also uses recycled yarns of 100% post consumer recycled polyester, made from soda and water bottles, which is ideal for both contract and residential purposes. These fabrics are made with clean water and safe dyes with no heavy metals and are 100% recyclable. GreenweaveTM post consumer polyester is now silver Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM. Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM products must meet established standards for human health, environmental health, and recyclability.
GreenweaveTM uses earthfriendly performance finishes including Organic BAC Shield, Crypton Green, Enviroseal, GreenShieldTM, and Nanotex.
